- You will also share and develop your understanding of your overarching context as a believer in the modern world.
- What is your perspective on the nature of this life vis-à-vis the next? How is this reflected in the way you function and make decisions?
- Then you will examine today’s reality, and consider what’s going well and what’s not going so well as far as faith in society is concerned.

Weeks 2-3
- It is vital that you become clear on what exactly you want to achieve before you can take any meaningful action.
- You will start to cultivate a powerful vision statement that will become a key filter through which you make your future commitments.
- You will also consider the status quo of your life as it is right now – as well as how you got here – and explore the extent to which it is, or isn’t, aligned with your vision.
Mission and Strategy
Weeks 4-5
- Continuing with your self-discovery, you will use the Ikigai framework to start establishing a clear mission statement.
- It will be one that leverages your passion, your skills and the social impact that you want to have in the world.
- You will also consider some of the key practical steps that you’ll need to take to start bringing your aspirations into reality.
Overcoming Barriers
Weeks 6-7
- It’s all very well having grand plans, but what about the obstacles?
- What about the constraints of time and money, your existing priorities in relation to work and family?
- What about imposter syndrome, self-doubt and fear of failure?
- In this session, you will learn how to overcome all the barriers that might get in the way of you achieving your full potential.

I'm Iqbal
Educator, speaker, writer… former investment banker and non-profit leader. My aim is to help you live a truly God-centered life, full of purpose and meaning. To do this, I deliver transformational educational experiences both online and in-person.
From 2011-2021, I was Project Manager and then Chief Executive of National Zakat Foundation. It has become the UK’s only local Zakat institution with a nationwide reach. In 2019, I was awarded an MBE for services to Tackling Poverty and Community Development. Before I started at NZF, I worked for over five years in the investment banking industry as an equity analyst. I abandoned my successful career to serve God’s cause instead.
I have an MA in Economics and Management from Cambridge University and an MSc in Voluntary Sector Management from Cass Business School.
I am an experienced public speaker, having given hundreds of talks and Friday sermons on a variety of subjects relating to Islam. I have been studying the Arabic language from a very young age. I memorised the Qur’an and have an official license for the accurate recitation of the Qur’an with an unbroken chain of teachers back to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
